The Trotwood CIC is eager to work with home buyers who are interested in purchasing properties in need of rehab and making them their homes.
In order to be qualified, as a home buyer, to purchase home from the TCIC, there are a few steps the purchaser must complete (see below). Once these are completed and reviewed, you will be qualified to buy TCIC homes. Please note, TCIC homes are generally tax foreclosure or donation properties and often require up to $30,000.00 of renovation to bring back to being habitable according to code.
STEPS TO QUALIFY TO BUY FROM THE TCIC:
- Complete the Home Buyer Application and submit to TCIC.
(CLICK HERE TO OPEN TCIC HOME BUYER APPLICATION)
- Buyer must be able to show financial capacity to buy and renovate property to TCIC rehab standards (Local Code or HUD Quality Standards)
- Buyer must agree to TCIC rehab standards as part of acquiring these properties and the standard TCIC purchase agreement.
- Buyer must agree that they will be making this property their personal residence, and will not be renting or reselling the property at completion of renovations.
